With the frequent use of glass doors, many Glass Door Locks have also appeared. The advantage of the glass door lock is that the glass does not need to be opened, and the safety function is better. So what about the glass door locks? What are the characteristics of each? In this article, the types of glass door locks are introduced.

Introduction of glass door lock types

1. Handle glass lock

The material of the handle lock handle is zinc alloy, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, plastic, log, ceramics, etc. The handle that has been electroplated and electrostatically painted has the effects of wear resistance and corrosion resistance. In addition to matching the room decoration style, the handle should be able to withstand a large pulling force. Generally, the handle should be able to withstand a pulling force of more than 6 kg.

2. Single tongue mortise door lock

This kind of lock has only one square bolt, which is mainly used on the gates of shops, cinemas, hotels, etc. with frequent access, as well as access doors such as hotels and office buildings. According to the number of lock heads, there are two types of single-head locks and double-head locks. The single-head lock only installs a marble lock on the outdoor side of the lock body. One side of the lock needs to be opened and locked with a key, and the other side is rotated by the knob to rotate the lock. The double-headed lock is equipped with a marble lock on both the indoor and outdoor sides of the lock body, and both sides need a key to open or lock.

3. Single deadbolt button mortise glass door lock

This kind of door lock has only one bevel lock, this kind of lock is equipped with a pair of handles, a lock cylinder is installed on one side, and the door is locked by the knob on the handle on the indoor side. In the case of unlocking, the lock can be opened by the handle both indoors and outdoors, and its function only plays the role of windproof. When locked, the handle is locked and cannot be moved. This type of lock is often used on office doors or on home interior doors.

4. Double tongue mortise glass door lock

Compared with the unilateral mortise door lock, the double tongue mortise glass door lock has two lock tongues, the square lock tongue and the bevel lock tongue, and according to the function of the double tongue mortise glass door lock handle, it can be divided into single live lock. There are three types of core door locks, quick-opening mortise door locks and dual-active mortise door locks. Single-active means that the handle is fixed on the outdoor side, and the indoor side can be pressed down to open the oblique tongue; dual-active refers to both sides. The handle can be pressed down to open the oblique tongue; quick opening means that the outdoor and indoor handles can be lifted up and locked. It is often used in the installation of anti-theft doors in homes and offices.

Glass door lock maintenance guide:
1. Don’t use lubricant casually. Some friends often like to drip some lubricant into the lock eye when the door lock is astringent or tight. In this way, the door lock may be smooth soon, but because of the oil It is easy to stick to dust, and it will be easy to accumulate dust in the keyhole in the future, and form greasy putty, which will make the door lock more prone to failure.

Correct solution: Sharpen some pencil fragments or some candle fragments, blow it into the lock cylinder through a thin tube, and then insert the key and turn it several times.

2. Do not forcefully twist the key to open the door. For some time, due to the gravity of the door leaf or the reason of the door leaf, the door leaf sinks, causing the door to be locked or the door to be opened unsmoothly. At this time, it is often difficult to open and lock the door with a key. At this time, do not twist the key forcibly, so as not to break the key and increase the trouble.

3. Hold the handle when closing the door, screw the deadbolt into the lock body, and then let go after closing the door. Do not hit the door with force, otherwise the service life of the lock will be shortened.

4. During normal use, if there is any dirt, it can be removed with a dry cloth, and do not scrub with chemicals such as detergent. Otherwise, it will damage the protective film of the exposed parts and cause discoloration. Do not wipe the lock body and handle with a damp cloth, because some metal locks will rust; alloy locks will wear off the plating and lose the aesthetic effect.
